Your Task
Your task is to design your own " digital scrapbook" about your life and or interests and save it to a CD for you and your family.
- We will be choosing an application found on the ibook.
- Which application will you use: imovie, iphoto, word, garage band, powerpoint?
- Explore the possibilities.
- Collect the photographs, letters, stories, information you need and save it for your project.
- Remember to save your project notes and cite your sources on Power Point under My Story.
What Makes a Good Story?
We have talked about what makes a good story. The same requirements apply to digital storytelling. Lets review what needs to be developed:
1.Character/characters---the who did what part
2. Plot---the events of life, conflicts and resolutions, the fun times, the sad times, etc.
3. Setting ("sense of place")---the where and when
4. Style and Tone---conscious word choice, transitions that add to the flow of the story, a sense of the audience, DON'T BORE US! Make us interested and curious.
5. Story Structure---who is telling the story(point of view)
